The Business Forums are an opportunity for clients to hear from various business leaders about current business trends and programs that impact their industries and offer possible solutions. "We have received positive feedback from business owners and the business community about Colucci Norman, LLP’s Business Forum event and will continue to provide interesting insights from notable speakers," said William D. Norman, one of the founding partners. "We are grateful to have Robert Coughlin, President and CEO of the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council here today." Cofounder John Colucci added, "Area business leaders who attended last year’s forums said that the presentations were very valuable and that they hoped we would host a new series this year."

Mr. Coughlin has previously served as a three-term member of the state’s House of Representatives, and sat on the Revenue, Healthcare Finance, and Financial Services Committees. Before accepting his current position, he was the Undersecretary of Business Development in Governor Deval Patrick’s Administration, where he was responsible for overseeing business development, international trade and investment, travel and tourism, women and minority business assistance, and small business initiatives for the Commonwealth. Beyond his broad political experience, Mr. Coughlin was a principal of MC Solutions, a corporate consulting and capital management firm, and Susquehanna Capital Management where he managed five portfolio companies. Mr. Coughlin is a graduate of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy and a Lieutenant in the United States Naval Reserve.
